Lakeeta Watts, born in Milwaukee, WI is the founder of Essentially Empowered Inc. Lakeeta is a Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) serving as a Full Spectrum Community Doula and certified Breastfeeding Specialist. She started the organization because her son was hurt in an accident back in 2016. Lakeeta's other children witnessed this and together they all suffered a great deal of PTSD. Lakeeta, like most mothers, tried her hardest to equip her children with the necessary coping mechanisms to get them through this but felt as if she failed, and because of this Essentially Empowered was born.

Mildren has a passion for art. She has been doing art work since high school. She works well with youth and loves to educate them on many different forms of art using canvases, paints and oils.

Chastity Sylvester is the owner and operator of Vivid Skiez Creations & Services, where she passionately specializes in inner child healing. As a dedicated practitioner, she finds fulfillment in providing mental and emotional support to individuals and growing families, including parents-to-be. Chastity's expertise lies in guiding her clients through their healing journeys, helping them address past traumas, unresolved emotions, and personal challenges. Her nurturing and compassionate approach creates a safe space for inner child healing, fostering healthier relationships and empowering families to thrive emotionally. With her caring demeanor, she prepares parents-to-be for the journey of parenthood with confidence and resilience, building a strong foundation for their future together.

I am a mother of five adults and glammother of five. I am a Prenatal Care Coordinator, a Community Health Worker and a Birth Doula. I bartend occasionally, which I love! I’m also an Entrepreneur and a Community Activist. Everyday of my life I’m engaging the community in one of these facets. I’m in the process of becoming a full spectrum doula. In my spare time, which I don’t really have an abundance of, I love spending time with my grands and doing some form of research.

I am a mother of 9 birth children and 3 stepchildren, and grandmother to 8 grandbabies so far! I am passionate about helping women achieve their goals of feeling safe and empowered to have the birth story they long to have, as much as is possible. Cooking, photography, floral arrangements, church services, time with friends and family are all things that delight and enliven me! I am no stranger to sorrow, grief and trauma. I believe God has used these things to help to inform me, but not define me. Through them I have learned strength, compassion and discernment and I will put these traits to work for every mama I am honored to have the privilege of working alongside!

I am Shara Holloway. I'm a registered nurse, holistic birth doula, and end of life doula. It is my goal to become a traditionally trained midwife and CLC. Denna Triggs is a mother of 4, a Childbirth & Parent Educator, and a Birth & postpartum Doula. She believes in supporting a mother throughout her pregnancy journey – through education, self-care practice, and physical comforts, bringing about confidence in the laboring mother’s body and in her ability to use her voice to satisfy her needs. She believes that every woman should have access to a doula. Denna will be providing Prenatal workshops that supports the well-being of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

Kamaria Holland is a Parent Educator, Wellness Coach, and Intervention Specialist with Mental Health America. She serves on the Core Council of the Milwaukee Coalition for Children’s Mental Health. Kamaria is a Certified Birth Doula. Kamaria is passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of her clients. She desires to elevate voices in spaces where often client's voices could be lost.
